Australian Chilled Beef Exports:

A new innovative method for exporting quality Australian beef to overseas markets.

The whole beef carcass is cut into 10 parts, which are individually vacuum packed, chilled then placed in large cardboard cartons. (Approx. 250 kilos)

The chilled beef allows the beef to be cut down into portions as per the client’s requirements.

  • The beef can then be frozen.
  • Saves on labour.
  • Reduces the chance of spoiling through contamination during the thawing and cutting process.
  • Provide fresh to the beef market, which then has a substantial shelf life.

Shelf life:

  • Provided the beef is maintained at a constant temperature of the shelf life is up to 90 days, while the vacuum pack is sealed.

Transport:

  • The chilled beef can be transported by Air in 3 metric tonne shipments.
  • By sea in 40 foot containers holding approximately 22 metric tonne.
